About cookies, scripts etc.

Cookies are not used for most users at this site. In two situations however cookies are needed. If a cookie is about to be set, information about the cookie and it´s purpose is shown in the same dialogue that sets it, with an option to not set it and thus not use the functionality that the cookie provides.

The two situations where a cookie is needed are explained below.

1. It is possible to set own preferences for what to show in the home page. To achieve this, a cookie is created containing nothing but the preferences set by the user. The cookie is not shared with anyone, and can be purged from the same page where it is created.

2. For Membership logins, a cookie is created, used for more efficient support of the login session. It might also be used for tracking of causes if errors occurs in the logged in session. The cookie contains no personal information, and is not shared with anyone. It is not possible to login without this cookie.

Most parts of this site can be fully utilized without allowing scripts. There are however situations where scripts will make the usage of the site more convenient.

The major exception for this is however the membership pages. Scripts are required there, essentially for the dialogues in the forms.

Summary: It is recommended but not requried to allow scripts for dansglad.se for normal usage (likely already default for most users). For member login, scripts for dansglad.se must be allowed.
