On our way to Seskarö, we stayed the night at relatives in Hälsingland. This gave us an appreciated opportunity to visit the "spelmansstämma" at Delsbo.
The event took place at Delsbo Forngård, which is beautifully located. All over the place there were visitors with and without traditional folk costumes, and playing musicians. The weather was splendid and it was very hot, most people preferred the shade under trees and behind buildings.
When we arrived there was an instruction of Delsbopolska, followed by two local groups playing at the open air dance floor.
After that and for the rest of the evening Grindsäters Spelmän and Dalakopa (Thore Härdelin and others) altered at this stage.
There was also dance in a barn, but we preferred to stay outdoors. It was quite hot as long as the sun stayed above the horizon, something that affected dancers as well as musicians. After the sunset it was however a little cooler.
The dances with Grindsäters and Dalakopa at the outdoors dance floor contained mainly gammaldans, but with some pols and a bodapolska. The dancers where of all ages.
It was a very nice dance, on a very beautiful place, with a nice audience and with good music.
