After some time without dance reports - but fortunately not without dancing - it is nice to be able to come back with a report from the dance event at Alvik, organized by Örjansringen. At this event Tensta Spelmanslag were playing. The group comes from Tensta north of Uppsala, and played this evening lovely gammaldans music in a style that is similar to Westlings.
The music contained nice waltzes as well as hambo with easy pace and hot polkas.
There were also a couple of polskor - Bingsjö and Boda - some "gillesdanser" and a foxtrot.
With the nice music and an audience that was eager to dance, the evening became a nice memory.
The dance lasted until the last tune was played. I heard also others comment that they appreciated the dance.
