Dance at Mälarsalen and Gnesta 2004

February 6, 2004

Mälarsalen with Date and Doktor Krall

Mälarsalen arranges every other Friday dance with bugg. This evening was announced to include music with rock from the 50´s with Doktor Krall. We found this exciting and decided to visit.

The dance began not until 21:15. In the main hall Date were playing, and in the smaller room besides Doktor Krall resided. We danced almost entirely to the latter orchestra, who played music from 50´s and early 60´s with varied speed.

At times rock music of breathless pace was played. We danced swing to this music with great pleasure. As always this will put the condition to it's edge, and after a couple of hours our legs were like spaghetti.

Gnesta Winter Music & Dance Event 2004

February 7, 2004

The following day the yearly winter dance assembly at Gnesta Elektron took place. We have for some years visited this event, and can recommend it.

The event was also this year very pleasant. The dance floor is quite nice, almost quadratic with smooth surface, a small stage for the orchestra, places to sit, and a small stage along one of the sides where coffee is served. The dancing public, who were of all ages, seemed to enjoy the dance as much as we did.

In the video below three girls can be seen, who seem to have invented a variant of double bugg but to schottishe music, so an appropriate name should be double schottishe.
