|I remember a skating trip from Västerås to
Kallhäll, full of hardships. When we arrived to Kallhäll in the dark we
had been skating for hours in the moonlight. As we stumbled to the
railway station, we realized that the dance event in Kallhäll was going
on that night. The thought of going to a dance did however only bring a
So far away from this "winter". Yes, the calendar says it is mid winter, but at a walk along the shores of Mälaren we could only discover small areas with thin ice. We saw a canoeist who without much difficulty was able to paddle through it.
But this gives cause to use the energy for dance instead, and the winter event at Kallhäll Folkets Hus gave opportunities for this on two floors.
|Floor three was dedicated for instruments
with "weak" sound, and floor two for the others.
The floors, which are plastic-coated, were a little rough - however at times improved by dance wax. The space on both floors is unfortunately rather limited - but seen from the positive side, the lack of space is also a result of that many want to dance.
We had some nice dances, on floor three with Tensta Spelmän and Cittrasterna, and on floor two with Russindalens Spelmän, Bro Låtgille, Bas, Fiol & Drag, Kulingarna and Wermdö Durspelare.
We experienced the event as well attended and nice.
